Human Impacts

We focus on the uniqueness and dynamics of the area, bordered by the extremes of our significant high and low tide lines, currents and physical location. We reveal that it is a harsh and unforgiving habitat. The zone visited will be different depending on the type of geology and ecological framework present.

Species

We reveal how the highly conditioned species that live there are subject to the rigors of both the land and the sea, observed in different locations ranging from completely submerged zones to those only covered during the variable spring tides and impacted by periods of severe weather or above average temperatures and sunlight.

Organisms

Organisms that inhabit the inter-tidal zone must endure extreme fluctuations in moisture level, temperature, salinity, and sunlight. Their endurance has created creating a resilient assortment of biologically diverse organisms. These fascinating creatures boast a fascinating set of adaptations.
