With the help of the Association of Jersey Charities, Jersey Marine Conservation are supporting the Mammalogic Normand Group with the survey of Grey Seals in the moulting season around the Écréhous islands.
Data collected includes the survey conditions (date, hours, tide, weather), the number of seals observed (with the precision in the water or on rocks), any comments on the behavior, and any human activity causing disturbance. Photographs are taken when possible, in order to help put together a photo-identification catalog.
